Im Preshoekwald wachsen nur einheimische Bäume, wie die Sommeneiche, die gewöhnliche Esche, die schwarze Erle, die Hainbuche, die Birke und die Buche. Rund um die Wälder werden Sträucher gepflanzt, wie die Gelder Rose, die Weißdorn, die Schlehe und die Hasel. Das bedeutet, dass der ökologische Wert zunehmen wird, je älter der Wald wird. Kleinere und etwas größere Tiere haben bereits ihren Weg gefunden, zum Beispiel die Tagfalter Aurorafalter, das bunte Augenfleck und das braune Bläulchen.
