Peerdsbos -- Das Peerdsbos ist der älteste bekannte Wanderwald der Provinz Antwerpen. 1935 wurde das Gelände für eine symbolische Miete von 1 Franken pro Jahr und für die Dauer von 99 Jahren an die Stadt Antwerpen verpachtet, unter der Bedingung, dass es als Erholungsort für die breite Öffentlichkeit geöffnet werden muss. Durch den Wald fließt der Laarse Beek mit einem großen Gefälle (2,8 m über 2 Kilometer) und einigen sehr schönen Mäandern. Der Bach ist das, was von dem Fluss 'Olme' übrig blieb nach der Sint-Elisabethsflut zwischen 1376 und 1430, die unter anderem in den Niederlanden die Biesbosch entstehen ließ.
