Die Steinkohlegrube von Zolder, ursprünglich im Besitz der S.A. Charbonnages de Helchteren Zolder und gelegen im Kempener Steinkohlerevier, war die letzte produktive belgische Steinkohlegrube. Dieser Kempener Bergwerksstandort hat seit 1930 Steinkohle produziert, hauptsächlich Fettdampf, der besonders für die Nutzung in der Schwerindustrie geeignet war und vor allem von der belgischen Stahlproduktion in Lüttich und dem Borinage abgenommen wurde.
