Description

Der Friedhof wurde für die Beisetzung verstorbener Patienten des psychiatrischen Krankenhauses von Rekem angelegt, das schräg gegenüberlag und heute als Campus des Öffentlichen Psychiatrischen Pflegezentrums von Rekem bekannt ist (seit 1974 in Betrieb). Der Friedhof liegt zudem an der Grenze des Nationalparks Hoge Kempen in einem Nadelwald.
