Die Pont Saint-Nicolas ist die bekannteste Brücke in Chiny und wurde ursprünglich um 1740 erbaut, um die alte Holzbücke über den Fluss durch eine solide Steinversion mit Kies zu ersetzen, der aus Suxy, Assenois und Straimont kam. Von da an hieß die Brücke bereits Pont Saint-Nicolas und hatte auch die Heiligenfigur in die Brücke integriert. Am 11. Mai 1940 wurde die Brücke jedoch von den französischen Truppen zerstört und später 1955-1956 wieder aufgebaut. Die Heiligenfigur steht übrigens immer noch auf der Brücke, aber durch Wind und Wetter ist Saint-Nicolas nicht mehr gut erkennbar.
