Die Sint-Michaël-Sint-Cornelius und Sint-Ghislenus-Kirche ist die Pfarrkirche von Machelen-aan-de-Leie. Zum ersten Mal wird sie 1163 erwähnt. Das Innere der Kirche gehört zu den schönsten der Region. Die große Wallfahrt, die jährlich Anfang Juli organisiert wird, ist als „Machelen Gulde“ bekannt. Früher zog „Machelen Gulde“ zehntausende Pilger an, aber nach dem II. Weltkrieg ließ die Popularität dieser Wallfahrt drastisch nach. Es ist jedoch immer noch ein großes Volksfest. Rund um die Kirche liegt auch ein schöner, restaurierter Rundgang.
