In der Antwerpener Hofstraße, ganz in der Nähe des Grote Markts, befindet sich das Haus Den Rhyn. Die Fassaden aus dem 19. Jahrhundert entlang der Straße lassen nicht erahnen, dass sich dahinter ein Gebäude aus dem 16. Jahrhundert mit einem atmosphärischen Innenhof verbirgt. Dieses Gebäude aus dem Jahr 1485 wurde unter anderem für den Handel mit Gewürzen genutzt. Dies geschah hauptsächlich im Freien. Das Gebäude wird als Vorläufer des Börsengebäudes angesehen und hat daher historische Bedeutung.
