Dans la rue Hofstraat d'Anvers, près de la Grand-Place, se trouve la maison Den Rhyn. Les façades du 19ème siècle le long de rue ne laissent pas soupçonner qu'il y a derrière un immeuble du 16ème siècle avec une cour intérieure chaleureuse. Ce bâtiment datant de 1485 était utilisé pour le commerce, entre autres, des épices. Cela se faisait principalement en plein air. Le bâtiment est considéré comme un précurseur du palais des foires et donc d'une importance historique.
