Sogenanntes Villa Sonnenschein. Ehemaliges Wohnhaus und Atelier des Malers Emiel Claus. Nach seinem Tod vorübergehend Museum. Ehemaliges, zwischen der Straße und der Leie gelegenes Landhaus, vermutlich Anfang des 19. Jahrhunderts von dem Gentner Industriellen Heyndrickx an der Stelle des alten Pachtgutes und „Haus der Vergnügen“ namens „die Quade Betalinghe“ erbaut (siehe Karte von Sanderus und Urkunde von 1646). Laut Verkaufsakten wurde es 1833 Eigentum des Anwalts J. Ghesquière und 1889 von E. Claus.
