Sint-Pauwels ist ein Dorf in der belgischen Provinz Ostflandern und ein Teilgemeinde von Sint-Gillis-Waas. Sint-Pauwels hatte im Jahr 2001 4359 Einwohner. 1117 war Sint-Pauwels als Clapdorp bekannt und war ein Weiler von Kemzeke. 1234 wurde es eine eigene Pfarrei, geweiht an den heiligen Paulus. Die Trappisten, die 1646 aus Hulst vertrieben wurden, haben sich einige Zeit in Sint-Pauwels niedergelassen. Nach ihnen ist der Stadtteil Patershoek benannt. 1689 ließen sie sich dauerhaft in Sint-Niklaas nieder.
