Die IJzer ist ein Fluss in Belgien und Frankreich. Es ist der kürzeste der drei belgischen Flüsse, die ins Meer münden (die anderen beiden sind die Maas und die Schelde) und der einzige Fluss, der in Belgien ins Meer mündet. Die Schelde und die Maas münden in die See in den Niederlanden. Die Gesamtlänge beträgt 78 Kilometer, davon 45 in Belgien. Die IJzer liegt in der Westhoek. Das Gebiet zwischen der IJzer und der Küste, westlich des Flusses, wird Bachten de Kupe genannt.
