Schau dir das Basrelief „Cycles Alcyon“ an der Fassade des Hauses Nummer 63 an. Hier wohnte ein Brüsseler Vertreter dieser französischen Fahrradmarke.
Das französische Unternehmen Alcyon beginnt 1903 mit der Produktion von Fahrrädern. Zwischen 1907 und 1910 fährt der beliebte belgische Radfahrer Cyrille Van Hauwaert für das erfolgreiche Radsportteam von Alcyon. Auch der Brüsseler Fahrer und dreifache Tour-Sieger Philippe Thys ist bei dem französischen Hersteller sehr begehrt. Aber er bleibt lieber bei dem Konkurrenten Peugeot. Dieser übernimmt 1954 das Unternehmen ebenfalls.
