Das Herkenrodebos ist ein Naturgebiet zwischen den Orten Stevoort und Kermt gelegen, in der belgischen Gemeinde Hasselt.
Dieser Wald war im Besitz der Abtei Herkenrode und war unter dem Namen Grotenbos bekannt. Hier ließ die Abtei ihr Vieh grasen. Der Wald erstreckte sich über etwa 180 Hektar, wurde jedoch in der Zeit der Franzosen enteignet. Seitdem war von Kaiserlichen Wäldern die Rede. Ab 1815 wurden es: Königliche Wälder. Schließlich wurde der Wald von Adolf und Ulysse Claes aufgekauft. 1857 erbte Louis Claes, der Bruder von Adolf und Ulysse, den Wald.
