Auf der New Belgicawerf baut der Verein De Steenschuit an einer seetauglichen Nachbildung der 'Belgica'. An Bord dieses historischen Dreimasts unternahm der belgische Entdecker Adrien De Gerlache 1897 die erste Expedition nach Antarktika. Als Besucher kannst du das Schiff im Bau betreten. So tauchst du in die Atmosphäre an Bord während der allerersten Südpol-Expedition ein.
