'Der Elishoutwald gehörte früher den Landesherren von Aa. Der wichtigste Teil des Elishoutwalds wurde zu Beginn des 14. Jahrhunderts von der Familie von Aa an die Abtei Vorst geschenkt. Der heutige Elishouthof wurde mehrfach erweitert und renoviert. Die heutigen Gebäude stammen aus dem Jahr 1754. Die Gebäude wurden im Verhältnis zum Innenhof erhöht, ohne Zweifel wegen der regelmäßigen Überschwemmungen der Zenne. Der Elishouthof wurde in den COOVI-Komplex eingegliedert, der jetzt im Eigentum der Flämischen Gemeinschaft (VGC) ist. Der gesamte Komplex bleibt eines der besten Beispiele für die großen Abtei-Höfe in der Umgebung von Brüssel.'
