Der Kastellehoeve de la Tourette wurde früher auch Château de l'Escaille genannt, nach dem Namen seiner Käufer. Der ursprüngliche Name von Rabais stammt bereits aus dem Jahr 1440, als es ein Bollwerk des Herzogtums Brabant war. Die Gebäude brannten 1690 ab und wurden nur mit Mühe wieder aufgebaut.
Rund um den quadratischen Innenhof stammen die Kerne der Gebäude aus dem 16. und 17. Jahrhundert.
Das Wohnhaus wurde zu Beginn des 18. Jahrhunderts errichtet. Es ist ein niedriges Backsteinhaus auf einem abgeschrägten Sockel aus passendem Bruchstein. Der Anbau wurde aus Bruchstein errichtet. Auffällig ist der massive quadratische Backsteinturm (17. Jahrhundert?)
