Description

Das Kriegerdenkmal von Drongen befindet sich vor der Alten Abtei.

Es erinnert an die Opfer des Ersten und Zweiten Weltkriegs.

Im Jahr 1922 wurde es feierlich eingeweiht . Die Reliefskulptur aus Bronze von Domien Ingels (1881-1946) ist in einen architektonischen Sandsteinrahmen mit Texten zur Erinnerung an beide Weltkriege eingelassen. Auf der Rückseite des Denkmals sind die Namen der militärischen und zivilen Opfer beider Weltkriege aufgeführt.
