The war memorial of Drongen is located in front of the Old Abbey.
It remembers the victims of the first and second world war.
It was solemnly inaugurated in 1922 . The bronze sculpture in relief by Domien Ingels (1881-1946) is set in an architectural sandstone frame with texts commemorating both world wars. The back of the memorial lists the names of the military and civilian casualties of both world wars.
