Der Duisburg Nord Industriepark ist ein Hochofenkomplex, der seinen Spitznamen "Apotheke des Ruhrgebiets" den vielen Arten von Roheisen verdankt, die hier gemischt wurden. Der metallische Geruch durchdringt noch immer Ihre Nase. Aufgrund der Stahlkrise wurde dieser Thyssen-Komplex Mitte der 1980er Jahre stillgelegt. Abbruch erwies sich als zu teuer, daher wurde beschlossen, den Komplex im ursprünglichen Zustand zu belassen. Das Gelände verfügt über mehrere Wander- und Radwege.
