Roggentin ist eine Gemeinde im Landkreis Rostock in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern . Die Gemeinde wird vom Amt Carbäk mit Sitz in der Gemeinde Broderstorf verwaltet.
Das Gemeindegebiet erstreckt sich auf einer Grundmoräne, zum südlich von Roggentin in Richtung Warnow ausgerichteten Kösterbeck-Tal fällt das Gelände um fast 40 m ab. Die Gemeinde Roggentin ist nur etwa 5 km von der Rostocker Altstadt entfernt und grenzt – nur durch die A 19 getrennt – an den Rostocker Ortsteil Brinckmansdorf.
