Varchentin ist ein Ortsteil der Gemeinde Groß Plasten im Landkreis Mecklenburgische Seenplatte in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern . Zu Varchentin gehören die Ortsteile Beckenkrug und Carolinenhof.
Varchentin in der Mecklenburgischen Seenplatte liegt am ca. 200 ha umfassenden Großen Varchentiner See. Wenige hundert Meter südwestlich vom Ortskern liegt der Kleine Varchentiner See, der wie sein großer Nachbar von einem Schilfgürtel umgeben ist.
