Ilversgehofen ist ein Stadtteil der thüringischen Landeshauptstadt Erfurt, nördlich des Zentrums gelegen mit 12.000 Einwohnern auf einer Fläche von 2,74 km².
Der Stadtteil liegt an der Magdeburger Allee in der Talaue der Gera zwischen den Gründerzeitvorstädten Erfurts im Süden und den Plattenbaugebieten von Erfurt-Nord im Norden. Das Dorf wurde ab dem späten 19. Jahrhundert industrialisiert und entwickelte sich zu einem Arbeiterort mit etwa 13.000 Einwohnern bei der Eingemeindung nach Erfurt 1911. Seit dem späten 20. Jahrhundert befindet sich Ilversgehofen im Umbruch durch den Wegfall industrieller Arbeitsplätze und ist durch einen starken Strukturwandel gekennzeichnet.
