Der Stadtbezirk Sennestadt im Südosten der kreisfreien Stadt Bielefeld in Nordrhein-Westfalen hat etwa 22.000 Einwohner und fällt durch die städtebauliche Besonderheit auf.
Die Großwohnsiedlung Sennestadt entstand von 1956 bis um 1965 in der Heide- und Wiesenlandschaft der ehemaligen Gemeinde Senne II als Planstadt nach den Entwürfen des Stadtplaners Hans Bernhard Reichow, vornehmlich für Heimatvertriebene und Flüchtlinge. Damals als autogerechte Stadt konzipiert, gewann das zwischenzeitlich kritisierte Konzept einer „organischen Stadtbaukunst“ wieder Aktualität. Gleichwohl gilt das Konzept der Sennestadt in einigen Punkten als überholt.
