Arnstein ist eine Stadt im unterfränkischen Landkreis Main-Spessart. Auf dem Stadtgebiet liegt der einzige Schnittpunkt zwischen einem Haupt-Breiten- und einem Haupt-Längengrad in Deutschland.
Arnstein besitzt eine sehr zentrale geografische Lage . Die Stadt an der Wern, die das Maindreieck durchschneidet, liegt ungefähr 20 km von Schweinfurt, 25 km von Würzburg und 9 km vom Autobahnkreuz Schweinfurt/Werneck entfernt. Die südlichen Teile des Gemeindegebietes liegen bereits im Gramschatzer Wald. Die geografische Mitte Unterfrankens liegt laut Bayerischer Vermessungsverwaltung im Arnsteiner Ortsteil Büchold.
