Bei dem Eisenbahnunfall von Langenbach entgleiste am 13. August 1926 in der Einfahrt in den Bahnhof Langenbach an der Bahnstrecke München–Regensburg der Beschleunigte Personenzug 858. Zwölf Menschen starben.
Im Bereich des Bahnhofs Langenbach fanden Bauarbeiten statt. Dabei wurde auch an einer Weiche in der Bahnhofseinfahrt gearbeitet. Für die Überfahrt der Züge wurde die Zungenspitze der Weiche nur provisorisch mit einer Schraubzwinge fixiert. Deshalb durfte die Weiche nur mit 45 km/h befahren werden. Zulässige Höchstgeschwindigkeit war sonst 80 km/h.
