Das Lichtenberg-Gymnasium Cuxhaven ist ein allgemeinbildendes Gymnasium in Cuxhaven mit 538 Schülern . Benannt ist die Schule seit 1986 nach Georg Christoph Lichtenberg , dem ersten deutschen Professor für Experimentalphysik und Begründer des deutschsprachigen Aphorismus.
Im Jahr 1817 wurde die "Töchterschule Ritzebüttel" vom Cuxhavener Amtmann Amandus Abendroth gegründet. Standort war das Nachtigallsche Haus, Am Vorwerk 1, wo sich die Schule bis 1898 befand. Im Jahr 1849 wurde von Cuxhavener Bürgern die eigene private "Töchterschule Cuxhaven" gegründet. Diese blieb bis zum Jahr 1881 selbständig, als sie gemeinsam mit der Töchterschule Ritzebüttel in die von Rektor Hahn geleitete Cuxhavener Gemeindeschule integriert wurde.
