Die Straßenbahn Duisburg bildet seit 1881 das Rückgrat des öffentlichen Nahverkehrs in der Ruhrgebiets-Stadt Duisburg. Nachdem die Straßenbahnen in Duisburg bis zur Mitte der 1960er Jahre auf einem meterspurigen Netz nördlich der Ruhr und einem normalspurigen Netz südlich der Ruhr verkehrten, sind heute alle Strecken normalspurig. Seit dem Ende des Zweiten Weltkriegs schrumpft das Netz beständig. Mitte der 1970er Jahre begann in Duisburg der Tunnelbau für die Stadtbahn Rhein-Ruhr. Heute nutzen die beiden verbliebenen Straßenbahnlinien und eine Stadtbahnlinie in der Innenstadt die Tunnelstrecken.
