La tranvía de Duisburgo ha sido desde 1881 la columna vertebral del transporte público en la ciudad de Duisburgo, en la cuenca del Ruhr. Después de que los tranvías en Duisburgo operaran hasta mediados de la década de 1960 en una red de vía métrica al norte del Ruhr y en una red de vía estándar al sur del Ruhr, hoy todas las líneas son de vía estándar. Desde el final de la Segunda Guerra Mundial, la red ha estado en constante reducción. A mediados de la década de 1970, comenzó la construcción del túnel para el tranvía Rhein-Ruhr en Duisburgo. Hoy en día, las dos líneas de tranvía restantes y una línea de tranvía en el centro de la ciudad utilizan los tramos de túnel.
