Der Wasserturm an der Viersener Straße, auch Neuer Wasserturm genannt, ist eines der Wahrzeichen von Mönchengladbach.
Der Wasserturm wurde 1909 nach zweijähriger Bauzeit fertiggestellt und am 14. November 1909 eingeweiht, die Baukosten betrugen seinerzeit 216.000 Mark. Der Turm hat eine Höhe von 51 m und liegt nördlich der Innenstadt an einer der Hauptausfallstraßen nach Viersen. Errichtet wurde er im Jugendstil nach den Plänen des Mönchengladbacher Stadtbaumeisters Otto Greiß, der das Ziel hatte, den Turm zum Wahrzeichen der Stadt zu machen. Der Wasserturm erlitt im Zweiten Weltkrieg keine Schäden.
