Das 1863 von Roland Ritzefeld im ehemaligen Kupferhof Steinfeld eingerichtete Bethlehem-Gesundheitszentrum ist ein Krankenhaus der Grund- und Regelversorgung und Akademisches Lehrkrankenhaus der RWTH Aachen mit rund 1000 Mitarbeitern. Es verfügt über 327 Betten für jährlich ungefähr 14.500 stationäre und 35.000 ambulante Patienten und gliedert sich in die sieben Fachabteilungen Chirurgie, Orthopädie und Unfallchirurgie, Geburtshilfe, Innere Medizin, Anästhesie inklusive Schmerztherapie und operativer Intensivmedizin, Pädiatrie mit Kinderintensivstation sowie eine HNO-Belegabteilung. Die Klinik für Radiologie wird seit 2021 als radiologische Praxis des Unternehmens med 360° betrieben. Seit der Schließung der Geburtsstation im Krankenhaus der Nachbarstadt Eschweiler zugunsten Stolbergs 2016 ist es das geburtenreichste Krankenhaus der Städteregion Aachen; mehr als 1300 Kinder kommen hier pro Jahr auf die Welt.
