Die Rote Insel, auch Schöneberger Insel genannt, ist eine Ortslage im Berliner Ortsteil Schöneberg. Sie gehört seit der Bezirksreform von 2001 zum siebten Berliner Bezirk Tempelhof-Schöneberg, stellt aber selbst keine offizielle administrative Einheit dar.
Das Viertel hat sich aus seiner Insellage zwischen verschiedenen Bahngleisen herausgebildet und wies traditionell eine „rote“ – also eine eher politisch linke – Orientierung seiner Bevölkerung auf. Baugeschichtliche Bedeutung haben die Königin-Luise-Gedächtniskirche von 1912 und der markante Schöneberger Gasometer – das Industriedenkmal überragt als architektonische Landmarke die gesamte Rote Insel.
