Das St.-Gotthard-Gymnasium der Benediktiner Niederaltaich ist ein staatlich anerkanntes musisches, sprachliches und naturwissenschaftlich-technologisches Gymnasium in Niederalteich . Schulträger dieser gebundenen Ganztagsschule ist die Abtei Niederaltaich.
Der Schulname St.-Gotthard-Gymnasium geht auf den Heiligen Gotthard , Abt von Niederaltaich und Bischof von Hildesheim, zurück. Erstmals taucht der Name im Jahre 1723 auf, als Abt Joscio Hamberger ein „Seminarium in honorem Sancti Godehardi“ einrichtete. Im Zuge der Reformen in den 1960er Jahren wurde das "Seminar St. Godehard" 1965 in "Schulheim St. Gotthard" umbenannt. Schließlich erhielt das Gymnasium im Jahre 1985 mit „St.-Gotthard-Gymnasium der Benediktiner Niederaltaich“ seinen heutigen Namen.
