Uelvesbüll, Blick in die Husumer Bucht: Die Streusiedlung liegt an der Nordküste der Halbinsel Eiderstedt am Heverstrom. Zahlreiche Sturmfluten haben in der 800-jährigen Ortsgeschichte dafür gesorgt, dass sich das Landschaftsbild immer wieder verändert hat. Die Kirche wurde 1854 errichtet als Ersatz für einen Vorgängerbau aus dem Jahr 1300, der bei einer Sturmflut zerstört worden war.
