PICKNICKPLATZ ICHTERLOH
Inmitten von Bärlauchwäldern und direkt neben der "alten Eiche von Ichterloh" liegt dieser wunderschöne Picknickplatz. Vielleicht begrüßt dich am Eingang des 230 Hektar großen Waldgebietes bereits eine Nachtigall mit ihrem Gesang. Das Naturschutzgebiet Ichterloh liegt auf dem Gebiet der Gemeinden Ascheberg und Nordkirchen im Kreis Coesfeld. Am Picknickplatz angekommen, erwartet dich ein Aussichtspunkt mit einem weiten Blick über die Münsterländer Landschaft. Am Fuße der Senke stand einmal die Burg Ichterloh, die nach 500-jähriger Geschichte einst verschwand. Vor Ort kann man entspannt mit dem Fahrrad durch den Wald fahren oder auch zu Fuß über weite Felder und Äcker wandern.
