Der Turm der ehemaligen Windmühle ist mittlerweile kaum noch zu erkennen, so zugewachsen ist er. Erst mit dem zweiten Blick ist die Turmruine zu erkennen.
1985 wurde die alte Windmühle in die Denkmalliste der Stadt Selm aufgenommen. Diese Turmruine besteht aus Sandstein und ist eine der ältesten Gebäude in Selm. Seit 1551 existiert diese Windmühle und ist somit fast 500 Jahre alt. Bis zum Jahr 1912 wurde diese Turmwindmühle betrieben. Ob die Mühle noch einmal restauriert wird, steht noch in den Sternen, denn günstig wird dies bestimmt nicht.
