De toren van de voormalige windmolen is inmiddels nauwelijks nog te herkennen, zo is hij begroeid. Pas bij de tweede blik is de torenruïne zichtbaar.
In 1985 werd de oude windmolen opgenomen in de monumentenlijst van de stad Selm. Deze torenruïne bestaat uit zandsteen en is een van de oudste gebouwen in Selm. Sinds 1551 bestaat deze windmolen en is daarmee bijna 500 jaar oud. Tot het jaar 1912 werd deze torenmolen in gebruik genomen. Of de molen ooit nog gerestaureerd zal worden, is nog maar de vraag, want goedkoop zal dat zeker niet zijn.
