Den tidligere vindmølles tårn er nu næsten ikke til at genkende, så meget er det vokset til. Først ved et andet blik kan tårnruinen ses.
I 1985 blev den gamle vindmølle optaget på byens fredningsliste i Selm. Denne tårnruin er lavet af sandsten og er en af de ældste bygninger i Selm. Denne vindmølle har eksisteret siden 1551 og er derfor næsten 500 år gammel. Indtil 1912 blev denne tårnvindmølle drevet. Om møllen engang vil blive restaureret, står endnu i stjernerne, for det bliver bestemt ikke billigt.
