La tour de l'ancienne éolienne est désormais à peine reconnaissable, tant elle est envahie par la végétation. Ce n'est qu'au deuxième coup d'œil que la ruine de la tour se distingue.
En 1985, l'ancienne éolienne a été inscrite au registre des monuments de la ville de Selm. Cette ruine de tour est en grès et est l'un des plus anciens bâtiments de Selm. Cette éolienne existe depuis 1551 et a donc presque 500 ans. Jusqu'en 1912, cette éolienne à tour a été exploitée. On ne sait pas si le moulin sera restauré, car cela ne sera certainement pas bon marché.
