Die schmucke Fachwerkstadt Osterode ist Ausgangspunkt der Wanderung. Von hier, aus dem Harz-Kornmagazin (heute das Rathaus), wurde einst die Ernährung der Erzbergarbeiter gesichert. Entlang des historischen Hundscher Weges erreichen wir nach zwei Stunden Aufstieg den Marienblick, einen herrlichen Aussichtspunkt in das Lerbachtal.
Weiter geht’s auf schönen Waldwegen vorbei am Bärenbrucher Teich nach Buntenbock, dem ruhig und idyllisch gelegenen Ortsteil von Clausthal-Zellerfeld.
