Die Route ab dem Parkplatz „Berghamer Straßl“ verläuft komplett im Schatten des dichten Mischwaldes und ist damit vor allem bei hochsommerlichen Temperaturen beliebt. Auf 541 m am höchsten Punkt kann man für Bad Griesbacher Verhältnisse Höhenluft schnuppern, allerdings liegt auch der Einstiegspunkt hoch und der Weg hat wenig Steigung. Der Steinkart ist bekannt für die typischen Felsformationen aus Quarzkonglomerat.
