Der Ausgangspunkt des Wanderweges ist in Bernried (Kath. Kirche St. Maria und St. Wendelin, 1922/23, Neubarock mit Ausstattung). Der Weg folgt den Kreuzwegstationen zur Bruder-Klaus Kapelle. Danach geht es in den Wald nach Schatzendorf. Am Ortsende zweigt der Weg nach rechts. Über Löwenbrunn und Haselried wird Marketsried erreicht. Hier bietet sich dem Wanderer ein schöner Ausblick nach Süden. Der Durst kann in der Bierwirtschaft gestillt werden. Der aussichtsreiche Rückweg nach Bernried wird dann angetreten.
