Die Weinstraße oder die Deutsche Weinstraße ist die älteste der touristischen Weinstraßen Deutschlands. Es liegt in der Pfalz des Bundeslandes Rheinland-Pfalz. Gauleiter Josef Bürckel hatte die Idee, eine Straße anzulegen, die alle Winzerdörfer verbindet, um den Weinabsatz anzukurbeln. Die Deutsche Weinstraße wurde am 19. Oktober 1935 offiziell eröffnet. Bestehende Ortsstraßen entlang der Strecke wurden umbenannt, um "Weinstraße" in ihren Namen aufzunehmen, und die Gemeinden wurden aufgefordert, "an der Weinstraße" zu ihren Namen hinzuzufügen.
