Die Dänische Nationalbank ist die Zentralbank von Dänemark. Sie ist Mitglied im Europäischen System der Zentralbanken. Da Dänemark nicht Mitglied der Eurozone ist, obliegt der Bank die Hoheit über die Ausgabe der Landeswährung, der Dänischen Krone. Sie ist verantwortlich für die Geld- und Währungspolitik. Die dänische Währung ist seit 1999 über den Wechselkursmechanismus II an den Euro als Leitwährung gebunden.Am 1. August 1818 gründete König Friedrich VI die Dänische Nationalbank als privates Bankinstitut. Ihre Unabhängigkeit wurde 1936 gesetzlich verankert.
