Die Granada-Straße ist die Straße, durch die die katholischen Könige nach der Eroberung in die Stadt eintraten. Sie durchquerten das Granadator, um diese Straße zu begehen, eine der Hauptstraßen der damaligen Zeit, da sie den Zugang zur Stadt ermöglichte. Daher wurde sie als Calle Real bezeichnet. Das Geflecht bewahrt noch den ursprünglichen Verlauf, wie man an ihrer serpentinenartigen Form erkennen kann, ein Erbe der arabischen Stadtplanung. Die Tradition besagt, dass sie bei ihrem Eintritt in Prozession gingen und dass die Königin ein Bildnis mit der Anrufung Unserer Dame der Könige trug, ein Bildnis, das sie immer begleitete und das all ihren Schmuck trug. Währenddessen ging sie barfuß und einfach gekleidet hinterher. Sie ging in Richtung der großen Moschee, um sie zu weihen.
