Die Stierkampfarena von Tarragona, heute bekannt als "Tarraco Arena Plaça", ist ein historisches Gebäude im modernistischen Stil, das von dem örtlichen Architekten Ramón Salas Ricomá entworfen wurde und als eines der ersten Beispiele des Modernismus in der Provinz Tarragona gilt.[1]
Das Gebäude erfüllte bis zum Jahr 2006 seinen ursprünglichen Zweck, als die von der Diputación de Tarragona, dem Eigentümer des Gebäudes, iniciierte Renovierung es unmöglich machte, dass weiterhin Stierkämpfe in seinem Inneren stattfanden, gestützt auf die geltende Gesetzgebung in Katalonien.
