Das Naturgebiet Municipal del Arenal del Almortxó, mit einer Fläche von 50,80 ha, befindet sich im Gemeindegebiet von Petrel in der Provinz Alicante, im sogenannten "Cotxines" öffentlichen Waldes.
Es zeichnet sich insbesondere durch seine Geomorphologie und Lithologie aus. Es handelt sich um eine für Küstengebiete typische Dünenbildung, die sich im Inneren befindet und charakteristische Böden, Flora und Fauna der Küstendünenökosysteme aufweist.
