Öffentliche Schulen sind ein Werk der Gemeinde Ribes de Freser, das im Inventar des architektonischen Erbes Kataloniens enthalten ist. Sie beherbergt das Institut Escola Vall de Ribes, das bis 2021 als Institut Escola Ribes de Freser bekannt war.
Die öffentlichen Schulen von Ribes de Freser gehören zur Typologie, die von Jeroni Martorell auch in Sant Joan de les Abadesses verwendet wurde. Sie bestehen aus einem Erdgeschoss und zwei Etagen im zentralen Teil sowie einem Erdgeschoss und einer Etage an den Seiten. Es handelt sich um ein symmetrisches Gebäude, das eine nachträgliche, jedoch sehr gelungene Modifikation erfahren hat.
