Public schools is a work of the municipality of Ribes de Freser included in the Inventory of Architectural Heritage of Catalonia. It houses the Vall de Ribes School Institute, known until 2021 as Ribes de Freser School Institute.
The public schools of Ribes de Freser belong to the typology used by Jeroni Martorell also in Sant Joan de les Abadesses. They consist of a ground floor and two floors in its central body and a ground floor and a floor on the sides. It is a symmetrical building that underwent a subsequent modification, although very successful.
