Alex ist eine französische Gemeinde im Département Haute-Savoie in der Region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.
Alex liegt auf 592 m, etwa 9 km östlich der Stadt Annecy . Das ehemalige Bauerndorf erstreckt sich in einem Talkessel des Fier am südlichen Rand der Talniederung beidseits des Dorfbachs Nant d’Alex, in den Bornes-Alpen am Fuß der Dent du Cruet.
