Das Dorf Gérardmer liegt auf 750 Metern in den Vogesen. Das authentische Dorf ist ein gemütliches Dorf, in dem bis in den frühen Abend alle Geschäfte geöffnet sind. Das Dorf liegt am gleichnamigen See und befindet sich somit in den Vogesen. Dieses nördlich gelegene, waldreiche Gebiet wird jährlich von vielen Niederländern besucht. Im Winter verwandelt sich das Dorf in ein echtes Wintersportgebiet, in dem hauptsächlich Anfänger gut zurechtkommen können.
